Studies have shown that 70% of what people learn during traditional training is forgotten within 24 hours. To combat this challenge, we specialize in the design and development of performance support solutions that are designed for use on-the-job to help the user solve problems, make decisions, and remember information learned during training.
Performance support is very effective when designed to complement training, but it can also stand alone. Our products increase retention and improve readiness. We design for users’ needs and preferences and tailor the solution to how your users learn and access technology.
We perform an analysis to determine the areas where your users have the greatest challenges and break down information into smaller, digestible pieces to access quickly and easily. We develop solutions that are available where and when users need it.
With an intuitive 3D equipment app, interactive user manual, or the ability to augment their reality with virtual job aids, your users are more confident in their ability to solve problems, and readiness is more easily maintained.
Performance Support may include, but aren’t limited to:
- Mobile job aid apps
- Microlearning videos
- Interactive user manuals
- 3D equipment apps
for troubleshooting/maintenance - Mini-games
- Decision support apps
- Augmented reality
We also develop more traditional training solutions:
- Web-based training
- Scenario-based training
- Simulations or games
- Virtual reality (VR)
- and more
Developed at the Speed of Need
With a one-week turn around, we designed and developed an Android performance support tablet app that includes approximately 40 micro-learning videos for eight prototype technologies. The app and tablet were shipped with the new technologies for operators to use in the field.
Complementing Web-based and Instructor-led Training
To complement a face-to-face training offered by the Department of State, we developed a web-based course to serve as refresher training. We also created two mobile apps to serve as performance support and to supplement the refresher training. One app focuses on how to use a fire extinguisher with an emergency sequence that runs every time you open the app. The other app focuses on how to use an emergency escape breathing device (EEBD). Both were native apps built for Android and iOS.
Conveying Complex Information
We designed and developed an 8-hour web-based course and resource for HAZMAT technicians and procurement professionals in the first responder and defense communities to assist in making the proper selection of personal protective equipment (PPE) prior to conducting a mission.
